This course will review these main areas of Pediatric Hematology: Hematopoiesis, Anemia, Hemoglobinopathies, Thalassemias, Pediatric Coagulopathies, and Pediatric Leukemia

At the completion of this course the reader will be able to:

1. Recall the changing sites of hematopoiesis in the developing human and relevant progenitor cells and growth hormones involved.
2. Recognize the clinical laboratory findings and clinical presentations of select pediatric anemias.
